The mission of Coconut Mutts is to improve the standard of care for animals in American Samoa through education and veterinary services. Through collaboration with America Samoan entities dedicated to animal welfare and as well as using resources available on the US mainland, Coconut Mutts is dedicated to ethical and sustainable programming that benefit not only the animal population of AS, but the human communities as well.

The cornerstones of are organization are three-fold:

• Education
• Awareness
• Compassion

Through education we hope to raise awareness that will grow into compassion. One of Coconut Mutts’ main goals is to inspire empathy between local communities and the animal populations that struggle to survive in the same space.
