Lupelele and Masina were found abandoned under a dumpster in a grocery store parking lot
The kittens were barely bigger than lightbulbs
Lupelele almost died in the vet clinic from low blood sugar
Both kittens were so skinny that their hair stuck straight up off their bodies
Lupelele was particularlly small
They sought body heat despite the sweltering temperatures outside
They sought out warmth wherever they could
Especially with each other
They often curled up together
It took awhile for Lupelele to be healthy enough to grow hair
Masina was the high energy sister from the start
They continued their recovery on the mainland
They still cuddle together
