Dr. Kristen Jensen grew up in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. After completing a bachelor’s degree and some graduate work in the field of anthropology, she attended Cornell University. She graduated from their College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Kristen was boarded in Canine and Feline Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 2010.
Kristen practiced in Key West at All Animal Clinic for a total of ten years, and as an emergency veterinarian in Santa Fe for two years. During that time, she volunteered her veterinary services for relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina, taught surgical techniques to veterinary students in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Bolivia, and worked with the ASPCA on a large hoarding case.
Kristen was very active working with the Florida Keys SPCA, as a consulting shelter veterinarian and as a spay/neuter surgeon.
Kristen took the position as territorial veterinarian with the American Samoa Department of Agriculture in September of 2015 through February 2019. She is very much enjoyed life on a different island, and all the challenges working with a free roaming dog population have presented. She currently practices in Santa Fe.
